Raelynn Haynes

Rae is a professor of Biology, a Holistic Health Coach, and Yoga and Pilates Teacher. She works with private clients as well as teaches group classes at Willow Gardens Yoga Studio, Soul Yoga and Pilates South Austin. Rae is pictured here in her home studio that she loves, and practices in regularly. She sees private clients for yoga, Pilates, and yoga therapy in this space. She also began a fresh juice company (JUL Juice U Love) - fresh juices that she and her partner Janine Kudelka sell from Willow Gardens.

Rae practices and teaches Ashtanga, Hot Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Pilates. Rae is a former competitive cheerleader, was named an All-Star cheerleader, and was the all-girl cheerleading coach at Sam Houston State University. Ashtanga yoga was a natural transition for her. It was with her first ashtanga trainer that she realized the mindfulness and meditative benefits of yoga and the power of the breath,

Rae is a mom, has two dogs, a cat, loves animals and loves to teach kids yoga. She is an advocate of the benefits of yoga and meditation for children and works regularly with teens and memory care patients using yoga as therapy.

Raelynn is a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor. She is trained to teach Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Forrest Yoga, Hot Yoga & mat Pilates Levels I, II and III. In addition, she has training in Yoga Assisting and Adjusting and Yoga Massage. She holds both a masters and PhD (Biology and Zoology) and has taught in academia for over 12 years. Before purchasing Willow Gardens Yoga Studio, she left her full time academic position to pursue her yoga and nutrition career, to explore her entrepreneurial spirit and start a juice company (JuiceULove). She currently holds adjunct faculty status at Texas State University in San Marcos.

Rae has a background in modern dance and gymnastics. She has in performed modern and African dance shows and loves ballet, Broadway musicals, opera and the symphony. Rae is a former high school and college swimmer, and uses swimming as a form of meditation. She also relaxes through long walks, hot baths, acupuncture, time in the UV sauna, gardening, cooking and meditating. As a former athlete, her practice centers on power, alignment, and the mind-body connection. She began practicing yoga seriously nearly 12 years ago as she transitioned from running and weight training. She has had a serious yoga practicer since, and loves all forms of yoga, meditation and mindfulness. She received her 200 hour training from Black Swan Yoga, her Ashtanga training from David Swenson through Yoga Yoga, her Hot Yoga training from Ashley Chandler, and her Pilates training from the Pilates Sports Center out of California [with Pilates South Austin].

A native of Eastern Kentucky, and resident of Buda, she integrates yoga into her life and into her college classroom as much as possible. Her motto is to live life to its fullest, while trying to maintain balance and overall health (through diet, exercise and meditation). She believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone and every body, and works within the community through various avenues to make this possible.
